Topshop Top Picks

So I was dragged kicking and screaming into the city on Thursday by my lovely friend Anna, to join her on a little shopping spree... OK, so I didn't actually need much convincing to go on a small splurge but I did surprise myself by spending much of my time window shopping and not flashing the plastic as I usually do a week from payday.

For once, I didn't make a single purchase in Topshop...nada...nothing....at all! There were a few things that caught my eye though...

Topshop Limbo Suede Strappy Platforms link £65.00
Inlovewithfashion Oversized Jumper with Heart £40 (in aqua link or coral link)
Topshop Dalmatian Spot Crossbody Bag link £25
How amazing are those shoes! Perfectly on trend in a soft pastel blue suede with rose gold edging and platform/heel. I have also been after this heart jumper for a long while, although it's only in stock in aqua on the Topshop site, it is in stock in coral on the inlovewithfashion site. And finally, is this not the cutest bag ever??

I am amazed at myself and am still wondering how on earth I managed to resist these beauties??! I did have one thing that I really wanted to buy however, the Sisters of the New Moon nail tattoos that Topshop have launched, but can I find them in stock anywhere? No. Not even on the website - link. So maybe that put me off making any other purchases, ah well. A girl can always look and lust I suppose!

If anyone does know where I can get the nail tattoos from, please let me know! Thank you very muchly :)

What have you spied in good old Topshop recently? I'd love to know what you've been lusting after.

Zara Sale Bargains!

Wow, it's been way too long! I've been so busy updating my sister blog, that sometimes I just forget to blog here too! Well some things just couldn't wait any longer, as a few of my New Year purchases are just too good to not share.

First of all though, to my dear friend Kate (a.k.a my bank manager!) if you're reading this then, I know I didn't need any of these but they really were bargains - I fell in love and I just had to purchase.... OK that's no excuse, I don't have an excuse really but you have to admit, they are lovely :)

Whilst perusing the sales in Zara I came across this patterned Wallet With Sequins and there were only two left, so naturally I grabbed one straight away. I have been after the famous Sequinned Wallet in Gold which sold out long ago, and I refuse to pay over £60 for on eBay!! So when I saw this similar one, I settled for second best - don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it and have loads of outfits that it will go with, but if I had to pick between the gold and this one, gold would always win.

It's a really good size with a sturdy zip that does up across the top. Inside, it has a navy blue cotton lining and lots of card pockets that will hopefully fit some make-up, iphone, keys etc.

The best part of all was the price though - it was £29.99 full price and down to £19.99 in the sale, so a good 30% off. But when I got home, I realised the till had overcharged me at £22.99. So a couple of weeks later, I managed to go into the city again, and took it back expecting to get the £2.99 refund. Except the lady told me that it had now gone down to £9.99 - so she would refund me the £23.99 and sell it to me again, but at the new £9.99 price!!! BARGAIN! I swear I was on a little high from this for the rest of the day (sad, I know!).

I also came across this pair of Flat Studded Court Shoes when I first picked up the bag, (I must have been having a coral day) and snapped them up at a cool £19.99 - not bad for 100% leather, goat skin to be exact! They were at 50% off, down from £39.99.

I love the gold studding on them and I was very tempted by the black version of these lovelies, but I have lots of black flats and few colours, so figured these would make a fab addition to my Spring/Summer wardrobe. I wore them out that evening with skinny denim jeans and my silver Topshop blazer for a smart but casual dinner. Very comfortable to wear and not that pinching considering they're pointed toes.

Let me know what you think.
Do you own the Gold Sequin Wallet? Did you find any good Zara sale buys?

Have yourself a very MULBERRY Christmas...

... well I did that's for sure!

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and are looking forward to 2012. I have so many posts to try and cram in before the Xmas holidays are up and after my post-Christmas sales dash, I couldn't wait to share my very Mulberry Christmas with you!

Ta-dah!

Pictured above is: the Daria Mini Satchel in Oak, the Heart Friendship Bracelet in Black and the Frog Pin from AW11.

I was a very lucky girl this year and received the bracelet from my best friend for my recent Birthday (a week before Christmas) and the frog pin from my boyfriend for Christmas - the strong hints obviously paid off! And then I treated myself to the Daria Satchel in the Sales.

I love the bracelet, my friend knows me so well, and I've worn it loads, although it is a little tricky to put on yourself to start with! It is a pale gold metal heart with a keyhole cutout through the middle and the Mulberry tree stamped on the side. It is held onto the wrist with a black waxed cord with sliding knots to loosen/tighten as desired. It is still available on the Mulberry website at £60 RRP. The Frog Pin I've had my eye on for ages, I wear the leopard one from last year a lot and wanted to expand my collection, so this pressie went down very well on Christmas Day. It is made of pale gold metal, has the Mulberry tree stamped on the side and green/blue jewel eyes. This doesn't seem to be available any more, as each season they bring out a new style of pin - check out the Peace and Luck ones for SS11 - very cute!

Now the bag is (in fact Mulberry bags in general) my Achilles heel. Oh my god! I'm in love with this brand! They always use the most fabulous leathers and each piece is so well made it will last you for years and years! My purse is over two years old and has been used every day but still looks almost new.

Last January sales a close friend bought herself the larger Daria Satchel in Oxblood and I adored the design! But having only recently bought myself a Somerset Hobo and Alexa Satchel, I couldn't spare the expense. Then during the Summer, I was really looking for a cute small, but not tiny, across the body satchel in a Tan leather. Could I find one? No. And then I spotted the Mini Daria in Black.

To cut a long story short, basically Mulberry weren't and then were, going to do it in the Oak (Mulberry's answer to Tan). And back in November, I found out that my local House of Fraser Mulberry concession were finally stocking the Oak version. I ummmed and ahhhhhed but couldn't justify the £475 price tag at this time of year, so I held off in hope that the January sales would be good to me and on Christmas Eve I got the sales email of all sales emails... the Mulberry sale had started... and yes! The Mini Daria Satchel was included! Woohoo!

Yep, out loud, I literally "Woohoo-ed".

So in I flocked to House of Fraser after Christmas and snapped up my very own Mini Daria for £332. That saved me £143 by just hanging on a month!! It is a gorgeous soft spongey leather, with a big gold metal plaque on the front with the Mulberry tree stamped out. It has a long detachable strap which is partially plaited and clasps onto gold metal rings on either side of the satchel. It is still on the Mulberry website, in the sale, if you're interested, but only in black. For some reason, it has never been available in Oak online, despite it being in Mulberry stores??! I can't wait to wear it out, although it does feel more like a warmer weather bag, so I might hold off until late Spring for it's first outing. In all for me though, 2011 ended on a very happy (albeit expensive!) note!

Have you ever bought anything Mulberry? Did you get anything in the Mulberry Sales? What was your first ever Mulberry purchase?
