Leopard Print Love

Sooooo, I have a small confession to make. My last post about my Killer Kurt Geigers were not the only shoes I bought that day. In fact I may have broken my bank account with 4 pairs... God, I have clearly no self-control when it comes to footwear!

I was busy buying 2 other pairs of shoes in my local Kurt Geiger concession. I dared to have a browse whilst the sales assistant packed my shoes into their boxes and my gaze fell upon these furry wonders... Oh I am a sucker for pony hair! And at half price in the sale it was pretty much a done deal once she found my size in the stockroom.

These are the Amelia shoe from Carvela by Kurt Geiger and in my opinion, are the perfect high heel. Not too over the top high, or too bulky (which I often find with platformed heels) but sturdy enough that I won't go falling flat on my face! They are surprisingly comfortable to wear and walk in for that matter. The half inch platform at the front balances out the heel height nicely and provides some cushioning for the ball of the foot.

Carvela have done this design in various colours in the past and I think they also currently do these in a nude or black suede if you're looking for something a bit more conservative. Personally, I can't resist a bit of leopard print!

The Amelia shoes are still in stock (and still in the sale!) at various places online. I got mine from House of Fraser but they still have them in most sizes at John Lewis, Selfridges and kurtgeiger.com.

Wherever you go they all seem to be the same price of £59 so what are you waiting for?
Disclaimer - I bought these, on a shopping spree, with my own money. I have not been sponsored for this post I just wanted to show off my shoesies 'cos they are pretty amazing don't ya think?

Killer Kurt Geiger Heels

Let me introduce you to the latest spike encrusted footwear to enter my wardrobe, Jue from KG by Kurt Geiger, and just one of my many shoe splurges so far this year....

KG by Kurt Geiger Jue Stud Heels
You may have already spotted these beauties on my instagram feed a month or so back. They are what I'd describe as "shoes Victoria Beckham would be proud of" - I just can't look at pointed stilettos and not think of Posh Spice.

Believe it or not, I stumbled across these lovelies whilst browsing in my local TK Maxx store and they were a steal at £49.99 (RRP £120). I've found Kurt Geiger shoes (or its sub-brands like Carvela and Nine West) in the past in TK Maxx but they weren't the nicest of styles or didn't always have my size. So these were a refreshing change and it was completely and utterly love at first spike.... sorry, couldn't resist!

I tried them on, teetered to the mirror and after gazing lovingly at my feet I wondered aimlessly around for the next 20 minutes, clutching them in my arms whilst I tried to debate if I really needed them. Now really? I needn't have bothered. My fate was sealed the moment I picked them up and after I put them on there was no way I was going to put them back on the shelf.

These are comfortable on the feet but definitely not a shoe to be walking far in. The lack of platform makes it deceptive to how high the heel is and I have to concentrate just a little more than normal to make sure I don't trip up (well, more than I normally do in heels that is - I'm not that uncoordinated on a day-to-day basis). I'd put them firmly in the taxi-to-table category and I will not be wearing them out dancing anytime soon!

These are no longer available at kurtgeiger.com and I doubt you'll find them in a TK Maxx store now but if you do want to add a fierce pair of heels to your shoe collection then I have found them on ASOS.com for £65 and available in most sizes.

Go on, you know you want to ;)
Disclaimer - I bought these myself during a weak moment of self-control. I have not been sponsored to feature them, I just wanted to enthuse about my new purchase and make you all jealous...
